私たちのペットの中には、単なるペットではなく、もっと深い存在であることに気づかされることがあります。英語で「ファミリア・スピリット」と呼ばれ、家族のように強いきずなで結ばれた存在です。そのようなたましいは、動物の身体を通して私たちの人生に現れます。彼らは私たちの味方であり、精神的に支えてくれる存在です。こうしたペットが年を重ねたり、肉体を離れる時が近づくにつれ、彼らがどれほど貴重な存在だったかに気づくことがあります。彼らが旅立つとき、私たちは家族以上の存在を失ったように感じることもあるでしょう。

PETS - Familiar Spirits is a meditation I have been dreaming about doing for awhile. It will help you realize that some of our pets are more than just pets. They are what we call Familiar Spirits or Familiars. We have very intimate relationships with these beings. They are allies and assist us in our lives and especially in our work when we dedicate our lives in the service of helping others. Many of these beings have traveled with us many lifetimes and they use an animal body to blend into our lives seamlessly, and in many cases we may realize just how valuable they are to us as they start to age or leave their bodies. We can feel we lost more than a relative when they cross over. Then over time we may realize they haven't left us as we still feel them around us in spirit form, and many other times the next familiar comes along very quickly. Over time we may realize it's the same being as they have some of the same quirks and behaviors as our prior familiar.
So, if you've had one of these relationships or have one now, let yourself lean into the role they play in our lives. Acknowledge their guidance and support! Let them know you recognize their mission and purpose. You're never alone!
