If you look closely you can see pole beans growing up the poles, tobacco on the right middle of the frame and a squash plant is just out of view at the bottom of the frame. (I know it looks like a collage of greenery!) It’s a potent mixture for me to be celebrating these plants on the Fall Equinox. So, that’s what I have been doing to ground myself today. How about you? What are you doing to observe the beginning of Fall and the change of the seasons?

It’s a great time to ground and check in with the Mother Earth. Your body may be making a slight adjustment sensing the change of the growing season and the shorter days of sunlight. I love the Fall, it always puts me in a period of preparation for the Winter. I love harvesting the year’s bounty and storing it for future nourishment. I love preparing the buildings, fences and the outdoor vegetation for the winter ahead. I love watching and listening for the migrating animals, as well as watching the local animals making their preparations. It’s magical watching and exchanging with Mother Nature at work!

Let me know what you are doing to observe the beginning of Fall.

Hi David, I love the way Fall feels, the sun has a golden light and the nights are getting cooler.

I planted a Fall garden yesterday, red chard and another batch of basil. The basil plants are fairly mature, I am hoping for enough sunshine so I can make another batch of pesto.

I’ve been enjoying watching the squirrels gather acorns from the oak trees in my yard and loving watching the hummingbird come to the feeder. I hope they say around for awhile before migrating down south. I have lots of cherry tomatoes, garlic, onions and a corn plant with a nice looking cob. Your garden is looking good :))

I really like your new web site, very pretty. I especially like icons pictures and the blue color of the site.

Enjoy your time in NM! Love, Faye

    Hi Corrie,
Come on up, dinner is at 6:00. Bring your umbrella, it’s raining. Not that I’m complaining about the rain, my lawn really needs the water. :))

I started gardening too, first time in my life I have a garden. I planted sage, lavender and trees like cypress, cedar and even magnolia from Tenuta la Pilla. Nothing fit for consuming, yet. I enjoy gardening, and enjoy fall very much it brings me in balance and brings warmth in my heart. I am excited when I think about this plants how they will go through the winter, and what will appear out in spring.

    Love
    Evica

    Hi Evica,
I bet you have a good green thumb! We’ll have to see how your garden grows. Tell Dominique I have been thinking about you guys and Tana and the Croatian version of HEALING, let me know if you need anything from me. Love, David
