As I have written about in HEALING creativity is one of the shortcuts to healing. I am always fascinated at how specifically it can show me how a person is choosing to live their life. The places they are resisting expressing themselves are the same areas they are withholding love and exchange with themselves and others. The template just gets moved around. For example I tell the writers I work with, “As long as you are resisting writing, doubting what you have to say and creating reasons why you can’t write then all of your creativity will go into not writing. Once you give in to the process and start to trust it and get an exchange of inspiration back from the Universe you are off to the races.”

This is how love flows and it takes dsicipline to create, heal and blossom in life!

Of course there are always contradictions and I know and work with plenty of people who fight the creative process because they are terrified of it, but they do not have much choice – they are here to create. So, I figure it’s my job to keep nudging them about opening up, healing and learning to trust their creativity.

Create something today, encourage others to express themselves and watch the world around you become a happier place!

I find that when I am creative I feel good about myself and also feel empty in a way that allows for other things to come in. I also found that I set up projects and then wait until the “right time” comes along for me to go out and create. It doesn’t seem to be something I can think about doing and then go right out and do it. Although I feel as I gain momentum things come quicker and I’ll do more. Which I feel is coming, Sept.18,2015.

The process of being creative is not just simply taking a picture, or writing a page, or painting, or ….
The process is much bigger than that. It begins by connecting to oneself, connecting to your inner Nature. Be still, calm. Now connect to the environment. Allow your senses to grow, listen with intention what is there, feel the Earth underneath your feet, smell the scents in the air. The link is made, you are One with All. Your Being is ready to begin expressing.
Pick up your tools (the camera, the brush, the pen…)
Snap, make your strokes, pencil down your inspiration, …
    Witness.
    Enjoy.

I’m a writer, although I was definitely a reluctant writer at first. I remember doing the breathwork for the second time about five or six years ago. A U2 song was playing. My head was right next to one of the speakers and as Bono sang “Where the Streets Have No Name” my entire body started to vibrate. There was a power that came through his voice that was clearly more than just a human being with some nice vocal chords. Right then and there I knew that I wanted to write like Bono sings. That was the beginning of my journey into creativity and healing.

I’ve learned that creativity does not come from the mind. It comes from aligning ourselves with Spirit and listening. This is a huge relief actually. Knowing that there is a Source of creativity that is bigger and wiser than ourselves allows us to relax. When we tap into that Source, anything is possible. Creativity is one way to tap into the present moment. And in the present moment, there are no problems. No issues. No worries.

Suddenly, healing occurs, wrapped up and tied together with creative inspiration. A new world opens up. And life becomes fun again!
